Use dies cut with PolkaDoodles Challenges

Here is another of my sample cards that I made for the release of the new Bella Papillon and Bella Fleur crafting kits from PolkaDoodles that unfortunately did not make it's way to Nikky ... long story ... so will stop the waffle now.

There is a new challenge over at PolkaDoodle Challenges and the theme is "anything goes" but the DT were asked to add a die cut or two to their project, which with these wonderful kits is not at all hard. Here's my project for the new challenge ...

I have layered the papers, aging the edges with raw umber pan pastel and adding a subtle glittery overcoat. . I added a further panel using the largest of the Elegant Nest dies. Again I "aged" the edges. Next I stamped and coloured the flower branch (with pan pastels), cutting them out with the matching doublet die. I also stamped some butterflies, again using the matching die to cut them out.

I have used the Elegant Flourish die to add more movement, cutting it out with one of the matching papers and added some leaf sprigs (from Birdhouse 'Doublet' set of 6 dies).

The sentiment is a stamp from the Belle Papillon set with a grey Memento ink pad. In fact on all the stamped images I have used the same ink colour. I thought that it would soften the feel. The centre of the flowers have a "dollop" of Nuvo Glitter Accents in Aztec Gold.

Please do join in with us this fortnight and remember the theme is "anything goes". If you get the chance have a look through all the DT blogs to get "lashings and lashings" of superb inspiration.

It's Friday and I am bracing myself for a busy weekend and just hope the weather doesn't scupper our plans. Have a great weekend everyone,
