Colour Crazy -with Star Stampz

It's a new challenge over at Colour Crazy Challenges and this week we are sponsored by Star Stampz. I have chosen to use 'Kimono Portrait'  image to create my card ...

Star Stampz - Kimono Portrait

Sadly I thought I was organised and had my card ready but ooopppppsssss, whilst I had indeed printed the image off to colour - not a lover of ferry journeys - I had actually forgotten to do so! I'd also forgotten to bring my pencils with me, (which doesn't help), so had to ask mum to borrow her pens. Now I haven't coloured with pens for eons and never used Spectrum Noir pens, so it was a real leap in to the unknown for me

I've gone for a real oriental type of vibe on my card and added layered of black & gold foliage with a red base layer. I thought that these colours suited the images ... also didn't really leave myself much choice as had coloured the image first ...!

The background for the image, was created using Nuvo crystal drops and before fully dry, I went over with water to give a faded/washed out look.

Apologies for blurred photos. Can't decide if camera now playing up or my eyes are ... think either way I need to get both of us checked out. Many thanks for popping over as love reading your comments and if you get the chance, pop over to Colour Crazy Challenges and check out the other fabulous projects by the DT using Star Stampz.

Last Friday in Ireland (for a while), so off for some retail therapy, a bit of food and of course the obligatory last Guinness. Have a great weekend whatever you are doing and I intend to catch up with you all when on the ferry ... need to have something to do to distract myself on the journey. Boats = yuk to me,

Lou
