Funky Fairy Challenge

The challenge this week over at Funky Fairy's was to do "Oodles of Doodles" and ever one for a challenge, I made sure that I did just that !

Well here's a list of all my doodling on this card:

1] I have doodled my own image of the girly mushroom colouring her with promarkers

2] Doodled the grass and added extra highlights with black & white pen
3] Doodled the frame & then cut it out. It then has extra doodling and a paper frame cut roughly around it to highlight the papers used.
4] All the flowers have been doodled, cut out & mounted with 3D foam. I have used Liquid Pearls in the centres.

5] Yep, I even doodled the sentiment however the frames were cut with punches !

All the papers are from the "Just a Bit" collection and the added ladybirds are from SU. Do yo think I've doodled enough then ! ! ! ? ? ? ? ? ?

Sorry not been around but LOADS happening this end and some of it I can share with you tomorrow but other bits I can share a little later on!

Take care,

Lou

2S4U

Another fab challenge that I haven't entered for literally weeks . . just not managing my time very well at the moment ! ! I really wanted to join in this week and made a very quick card - the longest part was the stitching & my machine did that ! Card only took me 30 mins from start to finish . . why can't it always be as easy ?!?!?

Paper: Funky Fairy "Flourish"
Chipboard: Basic Grey
Other bits in stash

Must dash as I have to collect my youngest son and then rush back, only to pick up my eldest son & drop him off at his hockey match. Don't mind really as it gives me an excuse not to do any housework ! I have severe allergies to housework so must restrict myself from doing too much ! lol

Have a great weekend everyone,

Lou

Polka Doodles Challenge meets Charisma Cardz !

WOW, I can't believe that we are now on week #18 already. Seriously where does the time go? Days are blurring into weeks & the months now have huge great big wings and are flying past quicker than Concorde could get to NY ! I've even started looking around for Christmas present ideas . . . now that is getting depressing !

Anyhow enough of my depressing waffle, the challenge this week (set by Ruth) was to make our own flowers. I had an idea in my head but my brain just wasn't working in tandem with my hands & I couldn't get it to be how I could see it in my head! Well after much frustration, I had to admit defeat (& also time was running out) & this is my card . . . although not fully happy with it as it still needs something . . . better photo's would probably be a start ! lol

I have used papers from the "Jingle Jangles" CD, some doodling, chalking & inking. Quite a bit of wire (!) & the sentiment is alphabet rub ons from Doodlebug.

I a also entering this card into the Charisma Cardz challenge this week. It's been age since I entered (blame the eye) and really wanted to participate before the week ran past me again ! The challenge this week is "Flower Power" . . . and mines a winter flower (!) hopefully with a bit of "power" . . . lol

Hoping Mr Scheduler actually works for me . . . me & him are definitely not a match made in heaven . . as working today. So looking forward to the weekend as I need to catch up with you all . . getting crafting inspiration withdrawls . . my new found addiction!

Funky Fairy's Challenge

Just a quick post as in between giving lifts to the world & his wife because I can now drive (well it feels like that at the mo!) & making a whole load of resources for next week at school.

The challenge at Funky Fairy's this week was to "recycle" - so we had to use items that were recycled from other things . . . that doesn't make much sense but it's all I can come up with a the moment! Anyhow, here is my card . . .

Papers: Shabby Christmas
Stamps: SU "Summer by the Sea"
Sentiments: as above
Image has been watercoloured

Recycle bits are: brown card from a well known chocolate companies box to separate the layers; brown corrugated card is from some packaging that was around one of Luke's shirts . . . knew they would come in handy one day; button from an old jumper of mine & twine was around the bag of bulbs Steve bought this weekend. Papers are from "Shabby Christmas".

This was also the 1st card I made for the ICS DT call using the fab sketch . . . but . . . I hadn't read all the rules properly so couldn't enter it. I did make another card for Inspirational Card Sketches and it's in the post below.

Gotta dash but will definitely be catching up with you all really soon.

ICS DT call and an apology!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around for a while but managed to scratch my eyeball ! I think I got something in my eye when I was up in the loft with the insulation inspection man and then I made the big mistake of rubbing it . . . probably more than once! Suffice to say that I had to rest and cover it. Isn't it amazing what you take for granted until it is taken away from you?!?

So here is my BIG apology to my blog candy winners . . you're prizes are now ready and will be in the post to you ASAP and many apologies for the delay . . I had hoped that you would of all had them by now . . . but you will receive them very, very, very soon. Apologies again.

Now onto the Inspiration Card Sketches bit. Anyone who visits here will know that ICS is one of my favourite challenge blogs and I do endeavour to enter every week . . except last week because of my eye (!) and had to join in with the DT call. I was very lucky to be a Guest Designer for 2 weeks and loved the honour (cards for GDT can be found here & here). Well we had to follow a fab sketch from the ever so talented Dawn just for the DT call . . well I made a bit of a boo boo with my first card 'cos I combined it with another challenge . . . that'll teach me not to read the rules correctly. So, I made another card & I have flipped the sketch . . .

Sentiment: Papermake Up stamps

My inspiration for this card was the fab phrase which was a freebie from Paper Makeup Stamps. It has been combined with the SU "Summer by the Sea" set (thanks Lyds). Lots of matting & layering (using bits from my scrap box) & added embellies. I hope the layers are straight because since doing my eye, I have had real problems lining things up and have even had to resort to using a ruler !

Coloured with watercolour paints & Promarkers

Hope you are all well and I hope to have a good blog hop tomorrow . . . got to go to bed now as a busy, busy day at school tomorrow.

1st Funky Fairy Blog Hop

Welcome to the 1st Funky Fairy's Blog Hop to celebrate the merging of the Shop & Challenge Design Teams. We thought that we had to mark this occasion & celebrate with a "Funky Fairy" party . . . or a blog hop in this instance!

Now the theme this week over on the Challenge Blog is "Case It". This simply means that we have been looking at each others fab projects and choosing one to "CASE" (case is an acronym for Copy And Share Everything) so you create a project using someone else's work as your inspiration but do not need to copy it exactly. Well as you can imagine all the DT members got involved & have pulled "a blinder" this week and if you follow the blog hop you will see all their brilliant projects. Please do leave a comment on every blog you visit to be eligible for the fab prize being offered by Funky Fairy's Papercrafts (via the Inspiration Blog) . . . we will check you know!

I have "case'd" Emma's fabby card from the 1st ever challenge which was "spots & ribbon".

Here is my project . . . . I have used the divine "Cupcake Crazy" kit plus "Funky Fairy" herself. She is so divine to colour.

Now you have just left Andrea's blog & already got her letter but please don't forget to collect my letter which is " S ". At this point you should have 12 letters (inc mine). The next blog you need to pop over & visit is Lana's. If you have not collected all the previous letters, please pop back to the beginning of our blog hop over on the Inspiration Blog.

To celebrate the "Blog Hop", I am giving away 4 bits of candy ! Using Emma's card as my inspiration, I made 4 cards in total ! I am giving away these cards plus all the bits you will need to make your own cards using the fab Funky Fairy's "Cupcake Crazy" components . . . so 4 lucky people will receive:

1 x Funky Fairy Cupcake card (from selection above)
4 x square card blanks (+ envelopes)
4 x diff Funky Fairy images (not necessarily ones shown)
A selection of "Cupcake Crazy" papers
A selection of cupcake inspired quotes
A selection of cupcakes !
Ribbon

There will probably be other bits added but as this post is already VERY LONG, I didn't want to drain your eyes further ! My candy will run until Friday 4th September @ 9pm. If you would like to enter my candy & the candy on offer over at the Inspiration Blog, please leave a comment on this post.

Happy blog hopping everyone,

Lou
